Traveler's Hook - Flat!

Traveler's Hooks are one of the most capable non-destructive entry tools on the market, hands down. They have many names, aka "Carolina Roller", aka "Shrum tool" aka etc. and many shapes and sizes and construction types. 

This full sized handle - flat - Traveler's Hook finally provides just enough oomph for your added dexterity and leverage needed for door latches when certain latch-jim tools are not enough. And this flat design makes this tool much easier to EDC in something like your Civvy Intro Kit (available HERE). 

For years and years I only carried "Door Jims" in my three lines of gear (sometimes called "shove knives," "latch jims," "loid tools" and other names). Once I finally decided to field test traveler's hooks, I instantly found that they give much more dexterity to the entry specialist over a simple flat door jim. Traveler's hooks allows more force, more leverage, and more "finess" to be applied to a door latch, but they are slightly bulkier than your standard jims. While I don't carry a travelers hook in my pockets every day, I have multiple traveler's hooks in my 2nd Line Entry Gear bag. And I 100% believe that you would be remiss without this monster of a tool somewhere in your gear loadout.
