Description

After you've figured out your 1st Line Gear (the rakes, picks, tension that you will have on hand most of the time for daily carry) you should be looking to expand your 2nd Line Gear options. Bypass tools go great in a 2nd Line Gear bag, and larger handled rakes and picks will really help out in this go bag as well as a few SOLID additions to your tension wrench selection. While most beginners get excited about the shapes of rakes and picks, honestly, tension wrenches deserve to be looked upon as much more sexy and much more necessary! 

This "Longhorn Tension" kit is a three pack of red, white, and blue tagged tension tools that is also included in our "Civvy Kit". 

This set includes three double-sided tension wrenches. Each of the three tools has a different gauge of thickness and each tool has a different width on each end of the tool giving you 6 different options of points of contact for your tension position within the keyway. 

This set comes in a pocketed, credit-card-sized, vinyl sleeve.

This tool is .030" thick and 3" long overall.

  • Leg 1: .50" long x .125" wide x .030" thick.
  • Leg 2: .25" long x .094" wide x .030" thick. 

White:

This tool is .040" thick and 3" long overall. 

  • Leg 1: .50" long x .125" wide x .040" thick. 
  • Leg 2: .25" long x .094" wide x .040" thick.

Blue:

This tool is .050" thick and 3" long overall.

    Favorite tension tool

    These have become my favorite BOK tension tool. The different widths on each end allow me to use them in a variety of locks. They are very comfortable to use and are now part of my EDC.
